Sire prescribes strategy for new pharmacy opening
DANVILLE, Pa. -- When pharmacist Kathy Grandizio took the bold step to fulfill her dream of owning her own pharmacy, she turned to Sire Advertising to develop an identity and the necessary collateral materials to position the new Danville Pharmacy as a friendly, hometown source for prescriptions and other personal care products.
From start to finish, Sire managed the creative strategy for the opening of the pharmacy. Taking into consideration Ms. Grandizio’s values and business philosophy, Sire’s creative direction for the identity helped to differentiate the Danville Pharmacy from the competing “big box” chain pharmacies in the market. The logo, designed to fit in with the downtown’s nostalgic décor, elicits community spirit.
To promote the grand opening cost-effectively, Sire developed rack cards, sales sheets, and door hangers to distribute to the pharmacy’s target audiences. These marketing materials were handed out at customers’ homes, places of business, and physician offices to publicize the pharmacy’s local connections, products and services, location, and hours of operation.
Sire also developed a direct marketing campaign to support the one-to-one marketing for the pharmacy by creating a custom postcard and an accompanying mailing list targeting residents within a 20-mile radius of the pharmacy.
To sustain the momentum of the grand opening, Sire researched and recommended a comprehensive media plan for implementation in the coming months to increase awareness of the Danville Pharmacy.
