Sire earns seven 2006 Graphic Design Awards!
New York—Tying a personal record set in 2005, Sire Advertising has once again snagged an impressive seven awards from Graphic Design: USA, one of the industry’s most prestigious and selective awards programs! With only 10% of the entries receiving recognition, Graphic Design: USA honors a handpicked selection of the nation’s most innovative creative efforts.
Two projects created for Brodart Furniture Company, a Pennsylvania-based designer and manufacturer of contract library furniture caught the judges’ attention. Brodart award winners include the Sketchbook and Epoch brochure. Because Brodart’s furniture is 100% customizable, it only seemed appropriate to invent a sketchbook that allows architects and designers to draw their original ideas. The second award winner was the Epoch brochure. From name development and logo design to photography and brochure design, Sire played an integral role in marketing Brodart’s new Epoch Collection.
Also an award-winner, the J.Kleinbauer brochure was born out of thorough understanding of the countless details that make this fine clothing boutique the regional staple it has become. Because the J.Kleinbauer signature style revolved around the little things that all work together to create a shopping experience that’s distinctive to the store, Sire suggested a unique approach, an accordion-style brochure with a strong focus on photography, which captured Kleinbauer’s attention to detail.
Sire’s Kip Flock, Professional Life Coach logo was also chosen as an award winner. Conceptually, Sire developed the logo to serve as a visual representation of elation—the uplifting feeling Kip’s clients experience as a result of achieving balance and harmony in life. Because this goal is such a key aspect of Kip’s, it served as an inspiration during the development process.
Sire also received an award for a direct mail campaign designed for Korogard, a market leader in the production of commercial wall protection products like wall covering and handrails. The campaign series was comprised of three mailers, each including a return panel. In an effort to relate to architects, Sire developed on a forward-thinking approach to the design aimed to attract this niche audience.
A custom holiday card Sire designed for Sunbury Textile Mills was also selected to receive an award. This custom creation was designed to feature an original fabric design. The card featured a series of picture frame-like panels, each revealing more and more of the fabric. A blue and gold color scheme was selected to coincide with the fabric.
The seventh award winner was a newsletter Sire designed for United Stone Veneer. The newsletter serves as an excellent marketing tool, allowing USV to reach out to the builder network on a widespread basis in a way the organization hasn’t been able to do in the past.
In just four years, Sire has been awarded 22 Graphic Design: USA awards. The 2006 award-winning projects will be printed in Graphic Design: USA’s Design Annual, which reaches industry professionals across the globe.
