Dwellings ongoing campaign yields results

Sire has developed an integrated marketing
plan including e-newsletters, postcards, and
in-store displays.

Lewisburg, PA—Sire Advertising has partnered with Dwellings by RJM Designs to launch a series of direct-to-consumer campaigns as part of an ongoing promotional strategy planned to promote in-store and online shopping.

Offering home furnishings, décor, and boutique merchandise, Dwellings caters to homeowners in the Susquehanna Valley as well as a mixture of travelers who make a point to visit the store when passing through Lewisburg. In addition to in-store business, www.dwellingsathome.com offers an online shopping experience, opening the potential for sales from internet users everywhere.

Sire kicked off the campaign with a direct mail offer, which included discounts on purchases made through the Web site. To supplement the traditional effort, Sire launched a two-phase e-campaign with the same offer designed to direct users to the Web site. Following the combined campaign, Dwellings experienced a dramatic increase in Web site traffic.

In preparation for a recent home show, Sire assisted Dwellings with the development of an e-newsletter announcing the event. To entice users to visit Dwellings at the show, postcard holders could visit the booth to receive a chance to win a beautiful abstract painting on canvas. Sire designed a poster to accompany the booth and announce the drawing location. This offer allowed Dwellings to build upon the existing homegrown database to grow a larger customer base. To establish consistency with brand image and solidify the overall professionalism of Dwellings, Sire also developed a table throw to customize the booth with the Dwellings logo.

Also in the works is a postcard campaign introducing the new Dwellings fall collection. In order to track response rates, Dwellings is hosting a $500 shopping spree drawing. Entries are linked to value of purchases and are designed to entice shoppers to purchase more to increase their chances of winning. Sire also developed in-store poster to reinforce and promote the special offer.

Plans are underway to continue a regular schedule of e-newsletters and direct mail campaigns. Campaigns are tracked and measured on a regular basis to determine the best avenues for reaching Dwellings’ target market.
