Internet presence expands FCCY client base

Lewisburg—A nonprofit social service agency providing foster care services from six Pennsylvania locations, Family Care for Children & Youth, Inc. delivers a variety of progressive program and treatment options to children of all ages. To successfully promote its service spectrum to an audience covering all of Central Pennsylvania—and make program information easily accessible to new clients—FCCY began discussing the Internet as a new marketing outlet in mid-2003. With the help of Sire Advertising, an appropriate project scope and effective creative direction were established by early summer, the first step in the creation of what has become one of FCCY's primary marketing tools.

Launched in mid-August, the new FCCY Web site (www.fccy.org) provides a comprehensive overview of each of the organization's seven main service areas as well as FCCY's Family Behavioral Health Program in York. Details on becoming a foster parent, in addition to information on FCCY's 2003 social service training sessions, are also easily accessible. Site design and overall structure were based largely on FCCY's existing logo; the organization's established color scheme also played a major role in the design and implementation of the FCCY site.

A one-stop informational source which concisely presents organization-wide material previously conveyed primarily through several FCCY print brochures, the new FCCY Web site has been well-received by each FCCY office as well as a number of new clients who ended up utilizing the site as their primary source of information regarding FCCY. Additional Sire-FCCY marketing projects include a variety of corporate promotional items ranging from FCCY tote bags, pencils, and "stress rulers" to pens, staple removers, and notepads.
