Field Hockey Life site launched for Olympics

Sire Advertising partnered with professional field
hockey player Keli Smith, of Selinsgrove, to develop
the new Web site, fieldhockeylife.net, to promote her
career and training programs.

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – With the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing taking the world stage, Sire Advertising partnered with professional field hockey player Keli Smith, of Selinsgrove, to develop the new Web site, fieldhockeylife.net, to promote her career and training programs. The site launch coincided with the start of the Olympics, providing fans and followers with the latest news and information on Keli and her team’s performance in the Summer Games.

A member of the USA Field Hockey premier women’s squad, Keli’s skill level and passion for the game have awarded her the opportunity to participate in ten years of Olympic play in competitions across the globe. The goal was to develop a professional online presence that captured Keli’s competitive spirit and integrated a user-friendly navigation structure and attractive interface.

One of the unique features of the site is a blog, or online diary, which allows Keli to provide visitors with updates on the Olympics, as well as a variety of field hockey topics. Several content management applications were also incorporated into the site design to allow Keli to make content and photography updates at her convenience.

The new site will also serve as a valuable online marketing tool to build and promote Keli’s new series of field hockey clinics and camps. Sections of the site, such as a Q&A and About FHL, offer detailed insights on the complexities of the game of field hockey and the commitment it takes to be a champion.
