Two popular associations, one unified site

Anthracite Golf Association (AGA) and North Central Pennsylvania Golf Association (NCPGA) Web site

With the launch of the new Anthracite Golf Association (AGA) and North Central Pennsylvania Golf Association (NCPGA) Web site, two of the region’s most popular amateur golf organizations have taken one step closer to becoming a unified association.

Prior to the new site, both organizations had independent URLs with unique identities and different levels of functionality. A visual representation of a unified identity, the new site combines the two associations into one comprehensive site. Sire Advertising was able to successfully present the combined organization by drawing from the established look and feel of the NCPGA site in order to create an appealing design scheme that accurately establishes an identity for both organizations and promotes the various offerings.

In addition to establishing a combined identity, the new site also presents the content in an easy-to-locate manner. Upon arriving to the site, users can see the latest event dates for both AGA and NCPGA. Directly from the homepage, users can also easily link to tournament results and read the most up-to-date news stories. Sire also included a quick links menu where a variety of popular pages can be accessed with the click of a mouse.

For ease of use, Sire designed the site in a way that allows the AGA and NCPGA to easily post content for tee times, tournaments, and results in a timely manner. By using a Web-based content managed tool, the organization can conveniently work on updates while running a golf tournament. This flexibility is especially helpful when the need arises to post tee times and scored for junior, amateur, and senior events, which may be held hours from the association office. The new site also includes dynamic content as well as a history of the organizations and an overview of the various tournaments held throughout the season.

The recent AGA/NCPGA site launch concludes phase one of the site development. Plans are currently underway to further expand the functionality of the site, making it an even more valuable tool to association golfers and the organization’s administration.
