Lewisburg—Shawn Felty, president of Sire Advertising, recently participated in the 2006 Albright Care Services Golf Challenge: 90 Holes for 90 Years. Held May 22 at the Bucknell Golf Club, in Lewisburg, PA, this year’s event raised more than $75,000 for benevolent care at Albright.

With the aid of over 40 sponsors including clients, colleagues, and friends, Felty was able to raise nearly $2,800 to benefit the cause. “I’d like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who graciously pledged your support,” said Felty. “It’s nice to have a chance to spend the day playing golf with such wonderful people for a worthwhile cause.”

Each year, Albright hosts this tournament to celebrate the organization’s tradition of never having to ask a resident to leave a facility due to inability to pay. This year marks 90 years of benevolent care at Albright facilities, which include Normandie Ridge, York, PA; RiverWoods, Lewisburg, PA; and Warrior Run Manor, Watsontown, PA.

The 2006 Challenge was made possible due to the help of 44 golfers and 20 volunteers. Those interested in making a donation to Albright’s Benevolent Care Fund can visit the organization’s new Web site and click on the Ways to Donate link.
