Sire recognized by Graphic Design: USA
New York City—Each year Graphic Design: USA, a popular industry-read publication, sponsors the American Graphic Design Awards. Honoring fresh, outstanding graphic design, advertising art, and marketing communications created by American graphic designers and art directors, the awards acknowledge only 10 percent of applicants and showcases a handpicked selection of the nation’s most innovative creative efforts.
Once again, Sire Advertising is pleased to announce recognition by Graphic Design: USA. This year, Sire has earned two awards in both the logo development and catalog categories.
Created for Brodart Contract Library Furniture, the Sampler brochure was the judge’s choice for catalog development. Featuring a comprehensive listing of Brodart’s furniture collections and custom product options, the brochure ties in with the current Web site and serves as a “sampler,” distributed to administrators to provide a taste of Brodart’s fine furniture lines and limitless wood and fabric options.
More comprehensive than ever before, the new Sampler brochure also outlines company history and highlights Brodart’s unique and ambitious goal of continually developing new and innovative furniture lines to meet a variety of environments and consumer needs.
Sire earned a second award for the development of the Writers Institute at Susquehanna University identity. One of Susquehanna’s nationally recognized disciplines, the school’s writing program was in need of a new identity to solidify its reputation for being a top-notch collaboration of writers and increase awareness across campus and nationwide.
After discussing the purpose and goals of the Writers Institute with key administrators, Sire developed an identity to promote the program that would be used on stationery, envelopes, letterhead, and other institute materials.
Comprised primarily of student writers, the Institute promotes writing both as a career and as a creative outlet. Encouraging this mission, the Institute publishes The Susquehanna Review, hosts the Visiting Writers Series, and sponsors scholarships to attract outstanding writers to the University.
Sire’s winning entries will be featured in Graphic Design: USA’s Awards Annual, published in December 2004.
In print for nearly 40 years, Graphic Design: USA is a monthly business-to-business magazine with content geared toward professional graphic designers and other creative and production professionals.
