Sire logos to be published in “Logo Lounge”
San Francisco—Two logos developed by Sire Advertising will take their place among an elite group of hand-selected identities in the 2006 edition of “Logo Lounge III: 2000 International Identities by Leading Designers.”
“Logo Lounge III” is part of an annual series documenting the work of top designers. Offering visually compelling and inspirational ideas for the best in the field, the book is a must-have resource for design professionals.
Sire’s logos that will be featured in the publication include identities for Housing and Redevelopment Insurance Exchange (Scranton) and Sozo Healing Arts (Lewisburg). Because the housing authority was most commonly referred to as the acronym, HARIE, Sire based the organization’s icon on a house. HARIE provides affordable insurance coverage to governmental organizations. With the inclusion of the abstract home, the logo was able to visually translate the organization’s role without spelling out its lengthy name.
The second winner, the Sozo Healing Arts logo, was an exciting challenge for the team. Because Sozo specializes in pregnancy massage, Sire wanted to capture the expressive nature of this specific type of massage without excluding other offerings like the traditional Swedish massage, deep tissue massage as well as other specialty offerings like neuromuscular therapy (NMT) and Trigger Point Therapy. To achieve this, Sire incorporated a stylized hand formation resembling the intimate relationship between a mother and her child.
Judged by a panel of recognized designers, the winners will be published January 2006 in a book that will soon be available on a large-scale through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and other popular distribution outlets.
