New coach, new marketing package

Selinsgrove—Hired in 2002 to take over the Susquehanna University women's basketball program, Liz Cranmer Briggs is an experienced college-level coach as well as a former European professional player and an NCAA Division II standout. When posed with the challenge of raising the level of both the Crusader women's team and the university's annual summer basketball program, Coach Briggs quickly identified the need for new marketing materials designed to promote the 2003 Susquehanna Valley Girls Basketball Camp. After discussing her thoughts with Sire Advertising, a multiphase promotional plan was conceived, starting with the creation of a new SVGBC tri-fold brochure.

A colorful piece which focuses on the high level of instruction delivered by SVGBC staff as well as the outstanding training facilities available at Susquehanna, the camp's new brochure is ideal for use a direct-mail piece, a handout, or a companion item to other Susquehanna athletic materials. The new tri-fold also makes effective use of a new SVGBC logo, also designed by Sire Advertising. To ensure a consistent message across multiple mediums, Sire then created a new SVGBC Web site (www.svgirlsbasketballcamp.com), an SVGBC corporate stationery package, SVGBC t-shirts, and an SVGBC postcard designed to remind camp attendees of arrival times.
