Sire recognized for excellence in journalism
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Each year, the Pennsylvania Hospice Network hosts a regular conference where members can meet to exchange ideas and learn about new trends affecting the industry. As part of this year’s event in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Sire Advertising was selected to receive one of only four awards given to recognize organizations which have excelled in advertising efforts over the past year.
Presented as part of the annual luncheon, the Journalism Award was given to Sire Advertising for the team’s work with the recent television campaign. Capturing the true essence of hospice care was the ultimate goal of the television series.
The group at Sire was able to convey the message through personal stories of a daughter and son who worked with Columbia Montour Home Health & Hospice while their parents were ill. The special bond and personal attention, which resulted from these relationships, were communicated through thank you notes written to Columbia Montour Home Heath & Hospice. As the notes were written, memories of the personal experiences with the agency were called to mind to add a personal appeal.
Established in 1979, the Pennsylvania Hospice Network (PHN) provides an organizational structure for hospice programs throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The awards were created to recognize individuals or businesses that have supported, fostered the mission and philosophy, increased community awareness, or volunteered for the PHN.
