December 16, 2005 Seals logo makes a splash with boosters
Selinsgrove—Sire Advertising recently released a new Selinsgrove Seals identity. Prior to the launch of the new logo, there was a lack of continuity with Selinsgrove Seals and sports team identities. Sire’s new concept gives the Seals a fresh new look and has been an excellent fundraising tool for the sports teams and class projects.
As part of the logo launch, Sire also developed a number of unique versions of the logo to personalize the various booster efforts. To promote the new identity and assist with fundraising, Sire developed www.sealsgear.net, an online resource for Seals apparel and accessories using the new logos. This new site allows organizations to direct potential buyers to the site to review product images and color availability.
As part of the logo launch, Sire developed six different designs including the primary horizontal format, two “S” designs, “Go Seals”, and a Selinsgrove Seals typography-only version. For those looking for custom logos, Sire has also developed unique versions for local booster clubs and organizations on a variety of apparel and accessory items. Visit the Gear Gallery to see the standard line.
Having three Selinsgrove graduates on staff, a background in design, and first-hand knowledge of specialty items like hats and t-shirts, Seals Gear was a perfect fit for the Sire team. Sire President Shawn Felty’s interest in developing a new Seals identity began at an early age. In 1984, Shawn entered a logo contest sponsored by Selinsgrove Area Middle School. Ever since his logo was chosen as the contest winner, he’s had a sincere interest in graphic design, especially identity development.
