Felty teaches SBDC tradeshow seminar
In conjunction with Bucknell Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Sire Advertising President Shawn Felty recently presented a seminar entitled, "Promoting Your Business with Tradeshow Displays and Promotions."
Having over 13 years of advertising and marketing experience, Felty provided advice to help businesses make the most of tradeshows and similar events. During the presentation, held at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club in Selinsgrove, Felty emphasized the importance of ensuring that all marketing material and communication from pre-show preparation to post-show follow-up works together to consistently build your brand.
With a strong design background, Felty also provided strategies for designing an effective display. His advice included:
- Your tradeshow piece should communicate who you are in 3-5 seconds.
- Limit copy and capitalize on the graphics.
- Words and messages should be easily read from a distance.
Felty also presented various bannerstands, full-scale displays, and presentation accessory samples, most of which were created by Sire Advertising. Attendees were encouraged to examine the displays on hand, ask questions, and consider how they can make their next tradeshow a success.
“Tradeshows can be an important part of your promotional strategy,” said Felty. “A successful tradeshow is like effective marketing. It revolves around proper planning, making an impression in the mind of your prospectives, and maintaining to a consistent follow-up program.”Sire provides everything necessary for your next tradeshow including direct mail campaign development, literature design, special promotions, custom-imprinted giveaways, tradeshow displays and accessories, and much more.
