Interested in a valuable experience in the world of marketing, graphic design, or Web development? Looking for an impressive boost to your portfolio? Internships at Sire Advertising are an exceptional way to enhance your understanding in the field and gain a unique hands-on experience before graduation! Sire’s interns are thrown into the mix on a daily basis, allowing them to get their feet wet in a variety of processes that take place in the traditional advertising agency. Because Sire is a small, close-knit firm, interns are awarded a worthwhile experience that allows them to become involved in both the creative experience and the marketing strategy that empowers the creative—resulting in a valuable return for the client.

Graphic Design Internship
As with other interns, graphic design students will have the opportunity to offer concepts for real projects and work alongside some of the area’s most talented designers. Design opportunities include, but are not limited to ad development, collateral design, and identity development. Graphic design or visual arts majors or minors in their junior or senior year are invited to apply.

Marketing Internship
Specifically, interns assist with the development of marketing outlines, press releases, ad and collateral development, and other projects that may be in progress while the intern is in our service. Writing skills are a must. Juniors or seniors majoring or minoring in marketing, advertising, public relations, or creative writing are invited to apply.

Web Development Internship
Web interns will learn first-hand from our senior Web developer. The selected candidate will begin with page design and layout. Interns will then create a working Web site from the prototype. Other tasks may include basic Web updates, multimedia presentations using Flash, and applications for a multitude of needs within a corporate site. Some experience with HTML is a must. Any experience in programming using Javascript, PHP, or ASP is a plus. Candidate must have working knowledge of Dreamweaver and Photoshop.

Sire accepts only one intern per semester for each graphic design, marketing, and Web development. We are looking for talented students who are not afraid to get involved and love the challenge of trying something new. Internships may be completed for credit or for the experience alone. Interns are accepted during the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
