Farm & Home Oil Company

Sire Advertising extended its partnership with Farm & Home Oil Company into 2006 with the launch of a number of marketing efforts. The main objectives of the new marketing material were to achieve consistency and build brand awareness within Farm & Home’s target service area. As part of the program, Sire created two ads that were unique in their message, yet consistent in their presentation of the Farm & Home identity. In addition to ad development, Sire created an early bird themed direct mail postcard to promote pre-season air conditioning sales. The postcard featured a bird in full beach attire heralding early bird savings amid a snow-covered community. The final piece of the marketing puzzle was Farm & Home’s first-ever e-newsletter, entitled Energy Inbox. The newsletter provided a great opportunity for Farm & Home to interact with clients on a regular basis with various sales and seasonal promotions. One of the benefits of an e-newsletter is the ability to measure return on investment. Energy Inbox included a number of links aimed at directing viewers to the company Web site. After evaluating the Web log files, it was clear that traffic had increased. During the days following the e-newsletter launch, visitation numbers jumped. An estimated 700 visitors above average went to Farm & Home’s site during this period!
