What’s your marketing strategy for 2011?
In little more than four weeks, the world will turn the calendar to
a new year. What goals and objectives have you outlined for your business for
2011? Today’s business owners must think strategically and consider customer
feedback as well as digital and traditional means of marketing to keep current
and prospective customers engaged. At Sire Advertising we’re ready to help
you develop a strategic marketing plan to sustain and grow your business in 2011
and beyond.
If a strategic plan has moved to the top of your priority list, you may be
asking, “What are some of the key marketing trends for the upcoming year?”
Before moving forward, let’s first take a look back at 2010. What were
some of your goals this past year and what tactics did you implement to achieve
them? Did these tactics net the expected results? Were you able to show return
on investment (ROI)? Now, how can you expand or build upon these strategies and
results for 2011? Here are a few strategies to consider for the New Year:
Internet Marketing:
The Web will continue to be a major focus of marketing efforts in 2011. As in
the past, content will be of importance in the Internet marketing landscape.
After all, information about your company, products, or services is what consumers
are usually seeking when performing searches. The content your company provides
should be valuable and consistent. Ongoing customer engagement will also be another
critical area to leverage consumer insight and adapt to your customers’ expectations.
Finally, is 2011 the year to freshen up your site? Sire can provide you with
an analysis of your current site and make recommendations for a site upgrade
in 2011.
Mobile Marketing:
A springboard to Internet marketing and of increasing importance heading
into 2011, your Web site (when prospects do find it) must be viewable from mobile
devices such as smart phones, laptops, and iPads, for example. More and more
transactions are being completed using these mobile devices. Businesses that
make it difficult to buy on the small screen will ultimately suffer.
Social Media:
This year social media’s popularity among consumers and businesses
spread like wildfire! This trend is expected to evolve in 2011, as marketers
will continue to seek out more efficient ways to research, engage, and evaluate
the medium’s effectiveness. What started out as experimental campaigns
for most businesses in the past will become fully integrated social media marketing
strategies going forward. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Digg, and Flickr
are among the leaders.
Analytics:
The increasing availability of data and metrics is fueling the growth of
analytics in marketing, advertising, and public relations. So what do you do
with all of that data you’ve collected from your Web, E-mail marketing,
and social media analytics? The goal is to develop valuable insights from the
data you have at your disposal to help you steer your business in the right direction
and determine which strategies of your marketing campaign are working. At Sire
Advertising, we implement tracking mechanisms in all of our online and E-mail
marketing campaigns to help our clients analyze and measure the effectiveness
of these initiatives.
Public Relations:
The Internet and social media have afforded many new opportunities for article
placements with exponential and viral distribution. In addition to placement
in the traditional media, public relations has even more value to businesses
today. Of course, the whole point of writing and distributing press releases
is to share something that is newsworthy about your business. Sire Advertising
can help your business develop a successful public relations program.

programs for local, regional, and national companies. Our strategic approach
